How to count total number of contacts inside contact list?

There is an application that gives you this information but for the life of me I can not remember what its called... will post when I remember.

Is that called, Contact Control?

tried it - works perfectly to solve Edgedale's problem. also very good if you want to delete a load of contacts at once.

I can't say it is the sort of app you would use very often, but if you don't sync to a pc then it is the easiest way of deleting your contacts.

also has a compression facility....
