I have an MSI BToes Bluetooth dongle on my WinXP machine, and I can connect (after doing the deselect/select thing in Mrouter each time) and use the PC as an Internet gateway, and do backups and synchronisation with the Nokia PC Suite.
I'd like to be able to do the following with Bluetooth - but I can't work out how, or even if it's possible.
Step 1:
Whenever my 3650 is in range of my PC's BT connection, I'd like it to automatically connect so that I can use it as an internet gateway, without having to do anything on the PC.
Step 2:
As above, but I'd like it to automatically start the PC Suite and do a synchronisation.
Are there any BT gurus out there who can help with this?

What about a program for s60 to send a signal via bluetooth to the pc to make a connection to the phone?
No way to make connection wia BT from phone side.
bemused or RemoteS60 can it, but this doestn initiate mRoute connection. only connect to their other com port.
you can synchronize your phone automatic once your connected but you must need to connect your pc and phone
You can configure the PC BT software to automatically check for devices in range every "x" minutes. Unfortunately, the software doesn't then give you any way of doing actions based on what's found.
You can configure the 3650 PC Suite to synchronise on connection - and you can then just leave it running in the background.
It strikes me that what we need here is a Windows app that checks what BT devices are in range periodically, and allows the user to configure various actions.
Oh, and we need a fix for the mRouter bug where you have to deselect the COM port, close, reopen and then reselect the COM port.

It should work for the 3650 too, (since it works for my 7650 - but I havent got a proper environment to test it in). The software isnt P800 specific.

I've checked out Andy's stuff, and it works a treat!
My 3650 now connects via BT automagically when in range, the Nokia PC Suite autosyncs, and I can get a net connection using my PC as a gateway!
