COPYING FOLDERS WITH FILE MANAGER (SIZE=0)

6 replies · 2,208 views · Started 02 July 2003

Hi all,
I'm trying to copy the system folder using Epocware File Manager 1.0 but all the files have zero as size so i can't use them. Is there anyway to do that or is it a bug ????

Thank's

If I understand you right, you want to copy C:\system from your phone to your PC? Try using the Nokia PC Suite together with the PC Suite Tweaker instead, that should work...

SAMIR.

You are right, it does it on mine too.
You can-not copy an entire folder and all the files within it in one action as when you open the folder on the PC all the files are zero sized.

But I just open the folder and select all the files within it and copy them that way - it works then.

😊

Best

Hi all,

I'd already tried that and it worked fine. But copying folder by folder takes too much time. I explain :
I'm using file manager to make 'snapshots' of my "C:" before and after installing any app. I use then a program that i developped to compare the two folders and then save changes in a text file. That's very helpful to make a clean uninstall of the app and also to have an exact idea of how much place it took on my C: (I use then Fexplorer to report sizes).

Yftp does this well but it stops on every opened file to confirm continuing to upload.

Well, we'll wait for the next release of File Manager to correct this bug.
