Has anyone encounterd with the calendar that they set the Alarm in Preferences to Silent, that all your appoinments still rings the default sound? :-? Its really annoying when you schedule a series of appoinments, ie meetings, and have the alarm go in your meeting. Its a hassle to go through each appointment and uncheck the alarm box. Solution?

the whole way SE have set up the alerts and ring tones is utter bollocks, like sms alert volumes too, and how dispersed the phone ring tone settings are from the messaging ones,
Yeah...I wish they would of had the ring volume control on the scroll wheel when the flip is closed as well...that way...if im moving from a noisy area(loud-ring) to a less noisy(mid-ring). I dont want to do all those extra steps. :-?

Sounds like a bug. If you are talking about changing the default Alarm tone in the Calendar Preferences that is. Are you saying that changing the default alarm tone in preferences only affects NEW reminders? If that is the case, that might be considered a bug.

Wouldn't the solution here be to go into SILENT mode? That's the whole point of Silent mode - to make the phone silent in ALL ways with one easy setting. If you still want to receive call indications, put it in your pocket and let the vibration alert do its thing.
