Contacts on MMC

I wonder if someone can help??
Did I see a previous post about storing Contacts files on the MMC rather than the machine itself?? Did it say that with Contacts files stored on the MMC it wasn't possible to click on and dial numbers directly??
Any help would be appreciated.
Also, is it possible to have more than one Contacts file, either on the machine itself, or on an MMC??
Thanks in anticipation.
Dave.

You can dial them as usual.

Only one in the machine, but "unlimited" number of them on MMC. You can have them as much as you want, but you can use (open) only one at a time.

Ncely said petr!

Yep,you said it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone for your help, I obviously picked it up wrong somewhere, as I had a feeling I'd read that you couldn't click and dial numbers on the MMC.
Thanks again, I find this forum excellent and very helpful.
David.

PS. With reference to last sentence, it would be heplful though if I was able to post under my username. When I try to, after writing the post and attempting to send it, I get a message at the top saying that the username is already in use, or something like that.

With contacts on C the name of the caller is displayed on the outside screen when you get an incoming call.

If you create a new database on the MMC, you only get the incoming number not the name on the outside screen. THis a distinct disadvantage if you have a lot of contacts on the phone.
