I'm about to buy a 128mb MMC, but can anybody tell my why people are bidding up to 65 on eBay for one, when expansys.com are retailing them at 28 + postage, and I think digitaldepot.co.uk are around the 30 mark.
Am I missing something?? Is there a quality issue involved, and if there is, what is it??
Your comments would be appreciated.
Buying a 128mb MMC
Try looking around here,,,I remember old issues of this type 😉
I bought a TwinMOS 128 Mb MMC, and it didn,t work; not even in my digital camera. Apparently, MMCs are varying in quality, so the best thing to do is to try before you buy.
On the other hand these things are very often well sealed, which make retailers reluctant to let people try them without buying.
Maybe it would be a good idea if people wrote the brands of 128 Mb MMCs that work in this thread.
Thanks for your comments.
I was considering buying from expansys.com who do quite a bit for 9210s, including the phones themselves, so I would have thought that there MMCs should be ok.
David.
I have bought several from www.crucial.com and they have all worked fine. When I last bought, they were cheaper than expansys.
Thanks Tomahawk, just ordered a card from Crucial. They're about 1 cheaper than Expansys!!
David.
Wow! 😉

don;t buy anything from Ebay, i just ripped off buy some FRAUDSTER who never delivered my laptop, good thing i was covered by credit card insurance, just be careful, alot of thos eauctions are fixed, look at the auctions with no reserve they seem to have loads of new users just registered that same time the auction started, just to increase the bidding price!
BEWARE, fellow 9210i user 😮 😮 😮 😮
but you can see the seller rating isn't it .. .. ..
so bfore u bid just check the history of the seller first
that's what i did though....
Do they ship them worldwide or only in certain countries? 😮ops:

Quality issue alright! I already tried RIDATA Japan & RIDATA Taiwan both r realy cheap bt considerably functional bt lacks security coz u cudnt put 1 on it. APACER does work well too but w a higher tag but it does support password lock. take ur pick! 😉
Sealed or not, WARRANTY will play a very major role on it! my supplier replaces defective MMCs no questions asked... as long as ur w in the warranty period. wo 1 consider urself toast! 😉 normally it cud only last 100,000 earses but to make it realistic u compromise & cut it in half. Do the math! 😉
