Why not use .MID?? MIDI files are way more fun. .RNG is - I asume - the std form for ringtones.
I use MIDI on my 7650 and I wouldn't think of using ordinary tones.

I Know midi are cool, but i need to undesrtand and play some rgn files....

After download you can play the MIDI file with the recorder and save it to 7650's memory. Then you just go to Profiles, choose "Edit" and select the MIDI file you just downloaded as a ringtone. It's very easy and fast.

ok fine do u have to do this from the pc suite i do not connect via pc suite i connect only via wireless ir.how do i get the option of ringtones ?

You don't need Bluetooth or IR. You can download MIDI files for example from e-mail attachments and I believe that also with the WAP browser if you find a WAP site that offers MIDI downloads.
