Camera Zoom function?

i think this application is not yet available 😞

Can't imagine it will. It would have to be a digital zoom which, on a VGA camera, would be utterly pointless. Try taking a picture, copy it into <favourite imaging app> and zooming in with that. That's the result you would get with a digital zoom. Even worse picture quality than you get now.

Plus, as you can do it with any imaging app after you've taken it anyway, digital zoom truly does beome redundant.

Not so, depends, its quite convinient if you wanna have a "zoomed" picture fast. 😉 N3650 has one, and its not as bad, acceptable image quality, and convinient.

I find digital zoom pretty pointless too,but it is available in every series 60 device,why not on UIQ.I know SE has released the Camera API,but i'm not sure whether the zoom feature was included.

I'm more interested in knowning why noone is making use of those APIs for their apps yet. :-?

the programme photographer 2 was amazing on the 7650, it really did improve the picture of the phone

guess there's a ZOOM application for P800 at last, it's called CameraFX P800/900 😛

this was really bad for the nokia 7650, it had something like 400% zoom (something ridiculous) which was really bad quality even after 4x zoom

I'm using PhotoEnhancer v 1.5. You'll find it on Handango. It will adjust brightnes and contrast and allow you to crop images.

Cropping gives essentially the same result as a digital zoom. PhotoEnhancer has free-format crops or you can crop to fit the standard screensaver or background sizes.

Small, cheap and works as advertised, what more do you want.
