Slow USB Connection

The "USB" cradle provided by SE si EXTREMELY slow. I understand its a serial port 'dressed up" as a USB. Is there anyway (a software/driver solution perhaps??) to get around this problem? Ive downloaded a driver for the DCU-11 as well as one for DSS-20, but haven't been able to install them yet, cause it does not detect any new hardware.

Please help. TKS

I am afraid there is no "fix" for it.
You have to put up with it.
If you want to transfer data (such as pictures/MP3) into SD, use a USB writer/reader.

Anyone know if a third party USB memory stick reader works with the 128M Magic Gate Memory Stick DUO? I'd tried to put a regular size MG MS into a MS reader but it didn't work 😞

That's what the Memory Stck DUO Adapter that comes bundled with the P800 is for. Simply put your MS DUO in the adapter and plug that in the Memory Stick slot in your USB reader/writer.

Raven,

sorry for mis-leading u, i wonder if 'Magic Gate' MS works in a MS reader. My full size MGMS doesn't

My 128MB Magic Gate Memory Stick DUO works just fine with the adapter and my USB multible card reader.

Well, yeah, the USB cable speed is slow, but maybe I can speed it up for you a little bit.

Go to Control Panel --> Connections --> Cable

Now make sure the baudrate is set to the highest (460880). That might speed it up a bit 😃

Tks, 737. Will try that..
