Hi
I know that the P800 has a speaker phone but does anyone know whether a normal (i.e. landline size) bluetooth speaker phone unit is available anywhere?
Could be useful for having conference calls with two or three people at my end of the call. Or for louder sounds and more sensitive microphone than the P800 built-in ones.
Thanks
I haven't heard of such a device. Plus, as it would presumably be remaining stationary, I don't see the need for it to be bluetooth. After all, Bluetooth still isn't the most reliable or user friendly of standards. And then there is the power issue. For the speaker to work, you're going to need power. If it's plugged in any way, why use a wireless connection to the phone.
However, I do remember talk of a desktop stand with a built in (powered) handsfree speaker. I think SE were demo-ing the device at opne of the big tech shows. It would act as a charger, synch cradle and speakerphone all in one. A search on here might find more details.
Oh, I heard about that "new" docking station, been such a long time and I'm still waiting for its release.. :-?
This might be of some interest. Not available as yet but can be pre-ordered.

😊
Looks very nice. When it becomes available, I'm gonna order it for sure! 8)
is it faster than the normal docking station ??
Guess not, but I like the speakerphone and the looks! But I agree that a Bluetooth speakerphone would be even nicer 😊
