My MMS operator here says that for my MMS to get activated, I have to forward the Configuration message that they sent me to another MMS compatible phone. Has anyone ever heard of anything like that?
Even if true, when i open the message, I dont see the 'forward' option. I am using firmware 3.16

You don't need to forward the message, just use the information you'll find in it to set up the other phone. I can't forward Configuration Messages with my 7650.
For ur MMS to get activated u need to send a MMS to a compatiable handset who can recieve the MMS and than ur phone will catch the network and than u can recieve MMS. Its nothing about the configuration msg. The same thing was asked by my operator to do with and than it worked... and hope will work in ur case too..
umm, for mms to get activated, you need to get hold of the settings, you can't just send an mms and then let the phone learn it that way coz the phone wouldn't know what to do with a mms message in the first place without any settings, it wouldn't know which server to send it through, and anything else settings tell the message to do
the thing mentioned was after recieving the configuration message only..
