Does anyone know of a piece of software that will sync transactions with a previously installed Microsoft Money installation? I previously used Ultrasoft Money when I had my T-Mobile Pocket PC phone... I don't want a package that I have to import or export from.. just one that syncs back and forth.
Microsoft Money Compatable (syncable) Software For P800
There isn't a personal finance program that syncs with MS Money. You will have to use the import and export functions via QIF files. Personal finance programs that I know about for the P800 are Mastersoft Money, Handwallet and Jabp. The first is commercial and requires Appforge booster. The second is freeware and requires Appforge booster. The third is freeware, written in pJava and runs without Appforge booster.
I don't know about import/export capabilities of the first two programs. But I can confirm that Jabp imports and exports standard QIF files. I know this since I wrote the program 😊

trhuseby,
Mastersoft Money doesn't allow import of QIF files - I bought it before realising this and was really disappointed with the product, especially as ALL future transactions are included in the running balance which is ridiculous. It doesn't have separate "standing orders" functionality which is a pain, but the graphs feature is nice and the GUI is also attractive and easy to use.
HandWallet is new and seems rather unstable to me, although the GUI looks nice. It is an Israeli application which looks rather "Americanised", and the free version doesn't have an imoprt and export feature. Even the Pro version doesn't support QIF files which makes it rather limited in my opinion.
Currently the best software by far is Malcolm Bryants Jabp, which I am now using daily. It's GUI is rather boring but all the functionality is there and it's stable. Also Malcolm Bryant is quick to respond personally to queries and requests which is a major advantage.
