7560 <-> 9210 communicator

My wife uses a 7560, myself a 9210 communicator.

We have transfer contacts properly between our phones using Infra red and using Vcards - even the pictures are copied.

It turns out that the contact databases from a 7560 can be opened in a 9210 when saved on the moment card - the format is almost ok, however there is some corruption.

It appears that Nokia changes the contact database formats between Series 80 and Series 60 - why!!!!

However you can only do this one at a time and cannot synchronise them - oh try PC suite you might think - well.

The 9210i PC suite does not support 7560 and the same is true is the other direction - PC Suite for 7560 has import for most Nokia's including
the 9110i communicator (which I used to have) but very strangely not
the 9210!

Another odd thing is that the 9210 cannot handle messages from the 7560's message store.

If somebody is producing a complete replacement for the 7560 PC suite
please let us know.

A key problem is 'selective restore' - the 7560 PC does not have this
and the 9210 PC does - why again!

about the selective restore, the PC suite for the 7650 does indeed have that option - if you untick the all data option, you can then select what you want to restore

Not quite -
The 9210i PC suite allows to you restore specific versions of individual files from your backups.

With the 7650 PC suite you can only choose the category of the files you want to restore - not select the files themselves.
