There is probably an easy way to do it but I just can't locate the information.
I have a P800 and just purchased a T610 for use in the evenings (small phone). All my contacts, calendar and Tasks are in my P800, which I synchronise with Outlook on my PC.
I am trying to find a way to synchronise the contacts, calendar and tasks between my phones (without going through the PC because I have a feeling that the P800 sync software does not cohabit with the T610 version).
I can transfer all my contacts from the P800 to the T610 by using 'send folder'. This appears to be one way only - how do I synchronise two-way and for calendars & tasks too?
The P800 manual mentions something called vCal exchange for calendars but I can't find anyway of exchanging calendar and tasks items with my T610.
Can anyone enlighten me on this?
Many thanks!
you can not do it direct. What you could do is using a sync service server and do it using GPRS over the air. T610 also has that application REmote Sync.
good luck
From what i have read the T610 will sync with your pc for outlook etc over bluetooth IR and cable. I will let you know as im getting one tomorrow for the same reason, taking out on an evening. 😃
The T610 is a great complement to the P800. In fact, it could almost replace it for what I do except for the ease of using a touch screen and surfing the internet.
I managed to set up both phones to synchronise with Outlook on my laptop using an Anycom branded Bluetooth USB device. Works well.
But it is more likely for me to carry both phones with me on short trips without the laptop, which is why I am hoping to be able to sync both phones directly using Bluetooth.
I read about a website called www.mightyphone.com, which seems to offer a SyncML service. But I find it ridiculous and waste of money to sync two phones within a foot of each other by letting the data travel the globe through the internet! Can't some enterprising chap just write a simple software to do this in the phones themselves?
