Generally, moderators don't actually ask to be moderators, if the admin feel that they would make good moderators, they will usually ask. Those who repeatedly ask to be moderators usually never become moderators.
As for the salary, yes, we're on �1,000,000 per year. 8)
j2k is right. Generally I or one of the admins will invite someone to become a moderator. Other moderators are welcome to suggest people.
There's not much point in asking (though I won't say it never works). If you must ask you'll need to ask me. Unless I have already been considering you I'm unlikely to say yes. It's nothing personal either as some people have suggested to me. At the end of the day some people are better suited tomoderating than others - it doesn't mean their more valued members.

I like to keep my moderating quiet, just keeping an eye as I go through (though I must admit to having been busy these last few months (and totally neglecting my duties here), with a busy-ness I thought would only last a few weeks).
A moderator is a servant, not a master, because a moderator keeps the system flowing smoothly for the visitors.
I am always suspicious of people who ask to be given what is considered to be an exalted position. Nothing against you JF, I think you're cool. I'm just airing some general views.

hey guys what are you all talking about 😮 why dont you like warez sites 😮 on them you can get the best soft,althouhg on such sites you can get bad soft,but our warez site provides only high rated,and must have soft.ALSO we have rules in the forum,FOR E.T.C one of the rules is that members cannot give warez(or warez links) OF Russian developers.
