Hi!
I have Nokia 3650 (Firmware 3.13). I am extremely curious to know about this product called Fax Mobile available on www.bitween.com . I have even downloaded the trial version. It only shows me the 4 boxes (inbox, outbox, sent, drafts) and settings to enter my 'own number' and number of pixels. Apparently, this product has been specifically designed for Nokia 3650, 7650 and Sony Ericsson P800. I may seem like a novice, but actually I am rather confused about the concept. I have the following questions. I have sent an email to Bitween, but I have not received any response from them so far:
1. Does the use of Mobile Fax from Bitween mean that the phone will work like a fax machine and receive fax in its memory if one dials my regular cell phone number?
2. If that is true, where will the fax modem come from? Will the in built modem of Nokia 3650 (which is used to connect to the Internet through a lap top) be capable of receiving fax on its own?
3. Is this facility network dependent (i.e.does the mobile service provider have to provide it specifically to a subscriber) or will the fax be received just the way it is received on a fax machine attached to the landline? In India, the service providers of mobile telephony give a separate fax/ data number to enable you to receive fax. The caller dials the fax number (which is provided) and on connecting the cell phone to your laptop, one can receive the sent documents. From the description of the User Manual, I infer that the lap top is not at all required if one uses the Mobile Fax from Bitween. Secondly, is a separate fax number required to be given by the service provider or will it work on the usual mobile number?
