Anyone share your experience if you are doing that with 3Com USB Bluetooth adapter? 😃

Raven, thx for the link 😃

but still i am confused about the BT thing (i'm a BT newbie 😮ops: ) and hope that u can give me some hints:

what exactly is a serial port connection for BT? From my BT connection manager , i got thibgs like 'host serial port (COM3)' and 'client serial port (COM4)'. and my P800 can be connected to PC suite if i tell the phone connection finder to look for my P800 on one of the BT COM port.

r u referring the connection with which we can send file (just like phone to phone BT connection) or the one we can sync with the PC? I have the feeling they are two different kind of connection ...

(off topic) btw, does it mean all BT 'hotsync' for all PDA, phone, etc are accomplished by emulating a serial port? and thats no native BT connection?

Do i need to install mrouter separately? i have only installed PC suite 1.5.1.

what apps will need the dummy internet account on P800?

thx a lot for ur advice. 😃

Yes, they are different. I am referring to the connection you use when syncing with the PC. You should have the option "Start Serial Port Connection" in your BT software.

No, mRouter is a part of PC-Suite. You should see the mRouter icon in the bottom right corner of your PC(looks like two small arrows pointing in opposite directions). You can double click this icon and check/uncheck the COM-ports your using for BT to start a SERIAL PORT CONNECTION.

Only the built-in browser and e-mail client should require a "dummy" internet account to work through BT and your PC's internet connection.

Hope this helps. 😊

Cheers

Hi Raven, thx for ur help again 😃

lol, didn't notice everything is just there and nothing extra is needed. Once I connected with BT and open Opera, it go through the BT for the Internet connection, very nice.

I did struggled with the BT setting on my PC though. I need to check both COM3 (Client) and COM4 (host) at 'Phone Connection Link' (a.k.a. the two arrows 😊 ) in order to establish the connection. any idea how is that?

The problem now is I gotta find some nice MP4 or 3GP streaming servers on the Net :P

Thx again for ur help 😃 !
