BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN BUYING FROM EBAY

Hi all

this is just to warn people that when buying from ebay be very careful.

a friend of mine purchased some items in bulk from a person with good feedback. the deal went through he sent the money to him via western union money transfer wrote to him giving him the details.

the seller e-mailed back saying he got the money and he was sending the goods via UPS and gave a tracking number aswell.

my friend has been waiting for over a week for a package that was meant to be delivered in maximum 2 days.

there was no information about the package on the UPS website.

my friend phoned western union and they said "there has been a lot of fraud going on in Spain and Italy via western union". also they said "that people hack into Ebay and use other people's account (that have good feedback) as there own and try sell there items".

this is just to tell people to be very very careful.

I bought something on ebay last week from a person with 100% good feedback and 40+ ratings. I sent the money (Royal Mail special delivery - proof of delivery on their web site), and am still waiting for the goods. He's not even responding to my emails.

I have a bad feeling about it.

If that's the case, I'm never using eBay again.

I've had experience of buying t hings that never arrived, one case of which the seller disappeared - their ebay account no longer existed and emails bounced. but that is a minority, generally things have been good.

I've not had any problems with yahoo auctions, never really used ebay, prefered yahoo. Problem as always is that as things get more popular the scrotes work out how to use them.
