I think its excellent, very comfortable and sexy!
Th audio is only OK though. its not brilliant. Its not as clear and sharp as simply using my phone. Its very slightly muffled. Im using a 3650 with softwear version 2.5.
Any ideas how to make the quality sharper? Or does it not get any better?
Thanks
PS in general no complaints. I think its a great bit of kit.
No, thats about as good as it gets - I made mine slightly louder by setting my headset as 'loopset' in the phone settings - but the extra loudness may have just been my imagination 😊
I also have a Jabra200 which now supports 3650 and I find that is much louder and clearer for speach when making a call - but for music it is very distorted, the HDW2 is better for music.
The HDW2 is the sexyest, the Jabra looks like a hearing aid, thou the Jabra is more comfy for longer periods and does not block out 'normal' sounds as much.

Will.
thats cool, i am satisfied with the quality. And it is very sexy! and for 60 quid is a bargain!
www.mobileshop.com are very cheap!
Thanks mate
Mark

so easy! once it has been paired....thats it! u never have to do anything again. all you need 2 do is turn BT on on your fone....and turn on the headset....and thats it! it automatically finds the headset.
I'm looking for a Stereo Headset. I know that it is still going to be mono sound but i want to have two ear pieces. I don't care about having a wireless headset. Has anyone used the HDD-1 with the 3650? What's it like?
the quality on the HDD-1 is fine.
Not much to report really - just wired earphones.
I use them when i watch episodes of buffy, angel, x files etc when im on the bus....people would look at me oddly if i didnt use them!
Mark a quicke question, Does enabling bluetooth on the 3650 act in like an automatic mode, ie on really drain battery more when in comms with headset, or is it on all the time. ie constant greater drain on battery?
IE do you just leave bluettoth on on your phone or actually have to go to the phone and enable disable bluetooth everytime you want to use it, then because you want to save battery then disable it manually.
Also can you give rough guestimates as to battery life difference with bluetooth on all day as appoased to not on?
hi asfalloth,
ok, i have only been using it for 2 days....i would guess i have used the headset for maybe an hour....and yes, i have kept my bluetooth connection on (as i simply forgot it was on) but i have not noticed a difference in battery charges,
I generally change mine nighly anyway as i use my fone a hell of a lot. Im on a bus an hour a day, so i broswe the www or watch an episode of buffy!
sorry....went off on a tangent then lol
to answer your question - i have not noticed a difference in battery drainage on my N3650.
Mark
can any1 here tell me if it is possible to use the HDW-2 on my computer?
For example, could i use it with MSN messenger to have voice chat? instead of my mic and speakers?
I have just tried to pair it with my computer, which was successful, but my HDW-2 just keeps making a funny tune.
it would be so cool if that was possible, is it anything to do with creating a serial port? (im not to cleber with BT....dont understand it fully)
When i sync my phone with outlook, it creates a serial BT port.....thats all i know.
Thank for any help
Don't think you can - the Nokia headset uses their own bt audio profile, thats why most other headsets don't work with the 3650.
If you've paired it with your particular BT device and it don't work I suspect that device does not use the correct audio profile.
Would be cool thou would'nt it 😊
My Belkin BT does not give me any audio/headset connections.

well, it pairs....and makes noises!
There must be a way!....I WONT GIVE UP!!!! could be a late night! lol
I think it can,i saw that option when using the billionton drivers,i look in to it one of these days and let you know.
would be very very cool if that was possible.....im still working on it! lol
I just tried my Belkin & Jabra200, it sees it as an audio headset and pairs - but when I double click on it in bluetooth neibourhood its says there are no services available.
I think I saw audio options on the 3-com BT adapter I used to have so I guess it would have worked with that.
Do you see any audio services in you BT neibourhood configuration?
i have headset and audio gateway...
Well you should have more luck than me then!! 😊 😊 😊
well i get it connected, in audio.....and it just makes a tone in the headset....but thats it!
there must be a way....im so close!
I have a TDK BT USB dongle......and it can dair with audio headset....and this is an audio headset surley?!
Unfortunately, for most (if not all) PC bluetooth adapters, there just is not support for the Audio/Headset profile.
I have the HDW-2 and a Trust BT adapter. The software recognises it immediately as a headset, but they refuse to talk to each other after the pairing process.
I spent a couple of days trying to figure it out, but eventually gave up.
Although it would be a good idea to use the bluetooth headset on the PC, I just don't think it supports the protocols. 😞
Cheers
hey
when u paired it up, were u hearing anything at all from the headset?
Mark
take a look at the screen shot below.
would that not suggest my TDK BT adapter supports headsets?
ey
i have managed to get the headset to send data....and the pc HAS recievd it.
When i connect the headset, and press the anwer button on the headset, it is sending data to the PC as shown in the attatchment below....this is surley a good sign...
Hi,
My Bluetooth Places shows exactly the same thing for my headset too...it just doesn't work.
The headset beeped after pairing, that's all I can remember. It's a couple of months ago now.
Cheers
OMG OMG OMG I HAVE AUDIO WORKING!!!!!!!!
Once connected press the ansewer button....AND AUDIO WORKS!!! (have not tested the mic yet)
MIC WORKS!!! IT ALL WORKS!!!! anyone else get it working?
simply pair it and press the answer button!
for MSN use simply select bluetooth audio in the audio settings section
Good for you Mark!!Now i don't have to bother with it 😃
Well done!! 😊
Shame I do not have any audio profiles with my Belkin BT adapter 😞
😮
I'm going to try this again later today now! It will be brilliant if it works!
Thanks for all the info!
Cheers
if u get it working let me know as i want to see what other peoples quality is like over MSN.
I can hear other people perfect but they cant hear my very well - its kinda scrambeled.
