The software is DONE! It is versioned as 1.0... and as you can see from the screen shot - it features MANY improvments from the BETA. Believe it or not, we are still trying to figure out how to set up account with Handango.com so we can begin selling the app online. Hopefully though it won't take much longer - should be in the next couple of days. 😞 As for the beta, I'm no longer offering it... (I just learnt that someone has cracked the beta and removed the time limit. You can probably try to search for that on the net 😉 but you won't get any tech support from me.)

This version still does not support 3gp files, but it will be added in the next interim release which will be freely available to registered users. Despite that, I assure you this version is well worth the wait - near perfect A/V sync, user selectable audio codec, fast forward/rewind... you name it! I will post a more comprehensive description when I upload the shareware version.

woah!

the new version sounds fantastic!! cant wait for it to be released!
at the moment im putting all my recordings on hold till the full version is released!
How much will it cost?
And what features will you be removing for the shareware version?

It will be priced at $9.95 USD. As for the shareware we are still evaluating the best way to do it. There are some pretty heated debat going on in the company... let me know what you think:

1. Remove the expiration from Beta and use that as a freeware since the release version is sufficiently different from it. The problem with that is support - it will be hard to support a beta version.

2. Add a time/usage limit to 1.0. But there is no way to stop people from cracking it - already happend to the beta.

3. Full-featured 1.0 but with an occussional watermark added to the video.

That's smart! There is a quite serious bug in the beta's encoder which causes an upside-down image when transfered to PC. That has been fixed in 1.0.

I think whatever you do some wise guy will crack it.
Watermarking sounds like a good idea.

But at only $10 it amazes me that people still try to crack it, that sounds like a great price for such a feature packed product.

Good luck 😊

Thou to be honest to you my friend - I would not purchase it untill I can send the videos to my friends in a format which they could view on their PC's without any special player or codec.
.3gp being the last resort as most of my fiends have the .3gp player by now.

AND - if it were possible to put it on one of the softkeys??

I've purchased ALL of the different camera softwares, but I always go back to using the default one, for one reason - it's a single click of the softkey and it's there... fiddling about in the menu whilst missing the photo opportunity always renders them as unused, even if they are better...
To have the video recorder on a softkey as well I think you'd be onto a winner 😊
Is it possible?

I like the watermark idea for the non-registered.
As for the beta, I think it will reflect badly on the current version, and confuse users (causing you support problems) if you leave it floating around/freeware. It's not always intuitive to smartphone users to know which version of the app they have when they find it from forum posts, etc.

Umm..video filters available in registered version perhaps?

Obviously, registered users should get to make better feature requests 😊

One thing I'd like to see is a GUI utility that will convert to AVI or MPG-1; you could use the freely available source from VirtualDub and BBMPEG/AVI2MPG. VirtualDub also has excellent video filters for resizing/sharpening/smoothing, so you could have that functionality too. I am of course referring to a PC utility, but if you can do it in the phone then WOW 😊 3GP file support is nice, but having to have everyone download the codec is no fun (think like grandparents); pretty much the whole world can play MPG-1 w/o downloading anything, and the small resolution means the files still wouldn't be too big.

Anything else? uhhhh.. Post it please!!! 😉 I've been holding off recording things also for 1.0 😊

That looks really really really good! I hope the main problems of the beta version have been solved namely: a/v sync and that the audio scrambles after having resumed from pause while filming. If that's ok, this will be the best app for any smartphone! 😃 😃 :bday: 8)

I think the watermarking idea is the best, but like said before, at a price like $9.95 it seems affordable enough to not have to be cracked. I hope you can get it on Handango... I have money in my HWallet and no good apps to buy!!!

so is there a full version up for sale or?

Hi There,

I have more problems with this EYECON converter rubbish. I have an EYE and an EAR file from the 1.0 Pro (not beta) version of ETI Camcorder.

When I try and convert this, using the GUI from the offical web page, it says the file has been converted, but then the file isn't there.

If I use the old version of the converter, it says it can't convert the file at all.

If I use the command line version of the app, I get:

EYE File to AVI Converter Version 1.0
Copyright(c) 2002-2003 EyeMail Technology, Inc.

Audio is linked to external file.
Failed to connect audio source to mux
Failed to run the graph

If I rename/delete the EAR file, I can get a converted AVI that works, but with no sound.

Anyone any ideas? This is on XP or 2K.

Cheers.

I just bought it, and the sound won't work when recording videos. No one from the company who made it will respond to emails. I think its refund time.... If anyone sees this from the comapny who made it please email [email protected] thank you!

Unlimited recording with full sound only works on the Nokia6600 if you have the latest firmware v4.09.1.

Go here to download the latest converter. 😎

You gotta be jokin', right? You have the N93 and you want to record 160x120/15 fps... nice one. ETI doesn't work on N93.
