1. You mention that the p800 uses 2.5mm jack for headphones, but u mentioned that u can get some kind of adapter to make it into the normal, does that come with the phone or do u have to buy it extra.
well you get a 2.5 mm stereo headset free with the phone, the adapter, well i see you live in london, their are computer fairs on every saturday in major parts of england including london scattered around where you can pick up an adapter for no more than 50 pence
2. the I-net sounds amazing, is that preloaded on the p800?
the built in internet browser allows chtml (rendered websites for smaller screens) but sony have authorized a registered version of opera browser which is free for download off their site which is better than the available programme built in
3. is there any limit on the mp3 byterate? I seem to recall 128b/r on ur site being mentioned.
ummm, i dunno, when i was using a 16 meg duo, i converted down to 2205 hz and 24 kps, but i have tested as low as 8000 hz (my units might be totally wrong)
4. Can you customise the alert, as in have your own message alerts
yes, mine is .WAV, but you can choose any from the supported audio file exntesions apart from mp3
5. is there any place to put the pen? Does it slide into the side like most (or all) pds? If not then i think i would probably loose it.
yes, it slots into the side, one of the photos on my review shows this clearly, if your on dialup, the review page takes over 3 minutes to load so you might need to be patient
6. Are the movies difficult to convert, i saw those music videos, they seem pritty small
after setting up, it's a matter of selecting the input file, then it'll churn it out, i set up my settings through trial and improvement for the best settings. you'd be able to do the same, it takes anything between half the time to real time for converting, like if a video lasts 3 minutes. it can take anything from half that time upto that full time, just depends on your settings, of course this is only with the programme i'm using, PVAuthor,
any more questions i'd be happy to help
