Actualy, your quite safe with a 'bango' site.

They just use the phone number like a user/pass so you don't have to login after the first time.

Plus if a site is chargable you can just click the 'yes' button and because it knows who you are it can send you a billing message to your phone. Makes it a whole lot easier to pay for stuff.

Bango DO NOT, EVER release your phone number to the third party site - so they will not then bother you with all kinds of porn mail, (unless you phisically sign up for anything whilst on that site)

Think of bango as a gateway to the site - there are loads of sites behind bango gateways, many blue chip ones too.
