My phone is Nokia 3650, version 2.50. I created Caller Groups and also some phone numbers which are members in a special group, each group has its own ring tone but when a member of a group calls me, my telephone doesn't recognise it and doesn't ring in a different way with a different from the default ring tone.

I am doing that to my 3650 right now. I created a group called family and put all the family members in it. I went to contact, group, option, and assign ring tone. After assigning, I would get a ringtone icon in those names that I have assigned the group.
Oh, forgot to mention, this could happen if you store your phone number but not the area code. Assumming you lives in US.

you might encounter this if you changed the folder or the file names of your tones, (I remember I fixed that by copy the tones again and save them with recorder) but try selecting them again first 😉

I once was encountered this problem too. The easiest way to solve the problem is that everytime you have had added the new member to each group, then you ought to assign the ringing tone for that group again. This can be help you for sure.
