Getting really annoyed with this phone now - cant seem to play any mpegs that are sent to my phone - always get an error message that the file is too large...even when it is stored on the memory card which has lots of free space!
Real player - wont play mpeg's
it doesn't support the file format mpegs, it only accepts .rm and .3gp files.
thats crazy - Im sure I read in the instructions that it does!!! Do you know
where I can get any of the other files?
Read your instructions again 😉
When you transfer an mpeg file in PcSuite it will convert it as it copies it to the phone into a readable format (.3gp) which your phone can play.
In PcSuite have a look at your 'file converter' options and tick the mpg box.
Other than that you can convert your mpegs into real format on your PC before putting them on the phone - do a quick search, there is loads of info on how to do this on here 😊

not using pc suite...only bluetooth as I have a mac!!
Then you have to find something for the Mac that can covert to .3GP video file format (or Real's .RM). QuickTime, perhaps? Helix Producer?
If you on a MAC then Quicktime6 with the .3gp plugin is what you need 😊

😊
have you installed all the plugins on your pc suite? your pc suite should convert all media files your transfering on to your phone to a recognisable format! check out your suite settings!
If you want some .rm files, visit my site at 36fifty.net. There's also a link there to dozens more... 😊
