My two function buttons (the two long buttons directly under the screen) are no longer working. Every once in a while they will work for a minute or two, but then stop after a while.
There is nothing physically wrong with them, they click in just like all the other buttons. Every other key works just fine, but not these two.
Anyone have any idea why they would be crapping out so soon? I got my phone about 4 months ago, and have taken EXCELLENT care of it since....
it might be because of condens water, two of my buttons doesn't work either (my father washed it in soapwater  )
My phone hasn't even been dropped much let alone into water! The thing is %100 fine phsically. No damage occured from anything, internal or external.
The buttons quite literally just stopped working one day....
I am getting a TON of glitches like this with this phone, and am personally getting sick of it. I want a phone with features sure, but I'm not willing to lose the phones functionallity for them!
What software do you have installed at present?
Could it be possible you've installed something that your phone does not like?
Will
have you tries opening it up and just giving the buttons a good clean??
Have you checked if you installed so many programs on your phone? Have you tried turning the phone off and on?
I have the exact same problem as mentioned above. I bought a 7610 about 2 months ago, and all of a sudden, the two buttons next to the joystick (under the screen) stopped working.
I have looked after the phone and am very sure it is a software problem, as i have restored factory settings and uninstalled all 3rd party software, etc.
I really need urgent help in this matter
Would greatly appreciate if someone would reply to this post, or drop me a line.

The same problem affected my 3650 few moths ago.
My two function keys, the ABC (pen) key and even the buttons to call & hang worked on intervals of two or three minutes and the stopped functioning for a little while.
I tried to hard reset, and deeply clean the phone keys but this seemed not to work.
As the other people, I can tell you that I'm sure that is caused by water condesed on the board or between the keys contact.
(excuse my english, I hope to improve it with some practice 😉)
PD: the problem solved by itself just waiting over a week for the water totally evaporate
