Anyone know where i can get 2.5mm stereo earphones (no mic with 2 earpiece)? I dont want to use any converters. Preferrably branded earphones (Sony, JVC...)
cheers

take the 3.5mm ones of your nicest mini disc player, remove the end of it, then whip out your soldering iron and magnifying glass,
anyway, i got some unbranded ones with this mp3 player i got a while ago, i returned it and kept the earphones (it was for a 7650 and was made by carphone warehouse)
I have found (may be wrong) that earphones with 2.5 mm adapters are hard/impossible to get also tend to be poor quality free with tiny crappy 10 dollar radios if you know what i mean.
I would recommend a pair of Koss headphones for a portable (Portapro are BRILLIANT)
and one of these 3.5 audio adapter get 2 one spare

this is what i use with the p800 and oggplay with excellent results 48 kbps
good luck

those adapters would surly stick out, and possibly damage the jack, i tried the sony supplied headphones, they seem pritty good to me

This thing seems amazing, stop that theory of the sticking out plug that i posted b4 :black:
the adapters dont stick out very much right angled jack, you maybe thinking of the Maplin (uk) one, it sticks out
2.5mm or 3.5mm where i have circled?
I assume its 2.5mm since its for a phone.
cheers

Yes, it's the 2.5mm, since it was made for the P800
If you use your phone a lot and cant be bothered removing the jack to talk then http://pc-mobile.net/sp8aa.htm is probably better
I have heard though that there is slight distortion when adjusting the volume control on the adapter (minor thing but worth a mention, and for the price shouldn't happen)

Anyone else sell this other than PC-Mobile (HK). ?
Any other similar decices out there?
On a different note, anyone know if the HBM30 uses 2.5mm or 3.5mm jack?
cheers
I just got the SP8 today. Took about a week to arrive from the far east.
Packaging is a joke - it comes in a flimsy box.
The unit itself didn't quite work well, but then I noticed my 2.5mm plug wasn't inserted all the way in.
Once it was, audio (95kpbs Oggs playing through Oggplay) was AWSOME.
Folks, my silicon in-ear sony earplugs Rocked! I'm talking better audio quality than I get on my standalone mp3 player with 128kbps mp3s!!!
The mic works pretty well (haven't tested it thoroughly enough. The only dowside is that my headphones have long cords...
