How to convert to ATRAC3?

Im planning on buying an HBM30. The specs says it supports MP3s & ATRAC3. I know what ATRAC3 is but anyone know how to convert to this format? Will it give you option of formats when you upload files to the DUO on the HBM30?

I would imagine that it'll come with Sony's OpenMG Jukebox or such software that can do it.
