I am going to france for a weekend and wanted to roam GPRS through Orange France.
I understand the only change I need to make in my GPRS settings is to change my APN server's name to "internet".
Is that correct?

Just got back from Narbonne and didn't need to change any settings at all....worked a dream for all internet and email stuff.....however my contacts app has gone crazy and keeps firing up not enough memory error, and my speed dial numbers have all automatically changed to 0044 international codes and dumped any pics I had attached to people....very strange!
My pictures and speed dials remained the same after a trip to Paris a month ago with my Orange contract? Strange...
Didn't attempt GPRS as wasn't sure how much it would cost per mb over there.
And didn't get any coverage for GPRS on any network that I roamed on when I was in Germany last week. 😞
Orange GPRS roaming in France I believe is GB 8.51 plus VAT per Megabyte. Lucky me, I'm going to Switzerland and it's GB10 pus VAT per Megabyte - What a rip-off. But be glad you're not going to Hong Kong or Singapore - GB 25.00 plus VAT per Megabyte. Ouch!!

Does anyone know of a cheaper way to do this??
Holy mackarels!!!! Those prices are unbelievable!!! IF you travelled regularly to Hong Kong it would be cheaper to buy a new P800 and HK sim!!!! 😮
I mustn't have ever roamed on to the E-plus network and therefore didn't gain access to their GPRS when I was in Germany....
