PC Suite and Sony USB Bluetooth Adaptor -- Nuthin' But Probs

I am having a very irritating problem and looking for help. Here goes: I have a Sony Vaio notebook computer, model 505GP. I also have a Sony Bluetooth USB Adaptor model PCGA-BA1. I am running Windows XP with ?Service Pack 1 installed. I am trying to connect my Nokia 3650 via bluetooth to my notebook so I can run PC Suite--the latest version--for the first time. I can use bluetooth on my phone to connect with the Nokia bluetooth headset. It works fine. I cannot get PC Suite to work as my phone does not seem to connect to my notebook. I have searched for devices, found my phone and authenticated it using the software that came with the Sony bluetooth USB adaptor (it is called Bluespace NE). The phone seems to recognize that there is a bluetooth device as I have to input a passkey on my phone as generated by my notebook. That is as far as it goes. I have bluetooth com port 5 checked on mrouter. But PC Suite still will not connect to my phone. Any ideas anyone. Please Will Brady do not suggest I search the forum as this has been covered before. I have and it has not. Thanks

I've had the same problem!
Don't have the same usb adapter as you, but try doing this :
Reboot you computer..
Then let your phone find the computer and verify like you said..
then double click on the bluetooth icon.. klick entire bluetooth neighbourhood
and when you see the phone listed there.. right click and choose "connect bluetooth serial port"
You will get a message which says this is'nt possible..
but then suddenly the m-router will begin to work.. and then your'e connected...
thats what i have to do each time i need my phone backed up, or if i have to install some proggs.. 😉

thanks....i saw this in another forum or thread but it doesn't work for me probably because I don't seem to be able to get it (my PC) to establish or set up a serial port location for bluetooth. On my PC bluetooth software I have two buttons--one to discover devices--it finds my phone without any problem it seems--and another button to discover services from the bluetooth device. The services are file push, image push, remote camera. The services are represented by icons that the PC is searching for when the button is pushed. There is a fourth icon which looks like a serial port icon. I cannot get it to register or find any serial port. This is driving me crazy and I just bought this bluetooth adaptor from Sony for a lot of money so I could synch Outlook with my phone (which I did fine with my old laptop using infrared before my laptop blew up on me three weeks ago). So I bought the new laptop and nothing will work. Any other ideas?

Found out that the Sony USB Bluetooth adaptor is not compatible with th eNokia 7650 or 3650. No mention of this in its literature only a small mention of it on the Vaio accessory website. Go figure.
