For info - R380s (uk) bits with the P800 — Sony Ericsson P800, P900 and P910

For those who have the R380s (uk) and wonder if the accessories work....

*Hands free - Yup *(ish) (not overly sure about the button thou)
*Charger - phoned Ericsson and the quote was 'for short times only' so havent tried - theres a slight difference in voltage and current - Not risking it!
*Docking station and serial cable - Yup! the docking station needs the insert (gently) removed for the phone to fit (or plug the cable in direct)and the P800 software (with a fiddle) allows the cable to work.
Speeds?
Ballpark 400k a min to the stick as against Usb (about 2-4 times faster) If anyone is really bothered I can do an accurate time. Ive got the USB at work, and Serial at home (where I can go and make a tea or 3 during transfer).

Thought I'd raise this for anyone has dusty R380 bits and wants to risk a play! - PS if you have any worries phone ericsson - Ive found them very helpful in the uk for info.

i use the p800 cradle with both my p800 & T39
i use the T39 charger for my p800, T39, Hbh 30
i use torch on both T39 & P800

I have my R380 charger at work and it seems to work just fine with the P800. And, as for the handsfree, yes the button does work. I used it for voice dialing in the car before I got a BT headset.

Never managed to get the cradle to work though. Mind you, I gave up pretty quickly.

I got the serial cable to work without too much trouble. The system found the phone on my COM1. But it is very slow.
