i wonder if i can upgrade symbian my self or if i must leave there i buyed it?

Given the amount of homebrew software that exists for the P800, I'm surprised that people havent come up with some way of getting round the return to base Firmware issue - is it conceivable that home users could write additions and make unauthorised changes to the OS - a massive homebrew movement exists in the PC and XBOX communities, much to Microsofts disdain I hasten to add, that have put together some fantastic apps and BIOS tweaks - where are those guys and why don't they have P800's ? 😃

What if some makes a pathced firmware installation?Flashing it to the phone is not exactly easy, you need some expensive equipement to do that.If SE keeped their promise(If the promise was actually made by SE and not another rumour)about updates from home while the phone is "sleeping" in the cradle it would've been much easier

...and I think that's exactly why SE didn't make it possible for us to upgrade ourselves. They don't want us to screw with the OS I guess...
