I need help with these jar files now I heard that when you download a java program that comes in a zip name your suppose to rename it and send it to your phone. I can't figure out how to change that i renamed it with a .jar at the end of the name but its still a zip and when i send it to my phone it says file is corrupted and I know it aint corrupted plus if you do extract it what do you do with the class files?

It seems like what is happening is that you are renaming the file to be a .jar.zip file. Try this.

Go to Windows Explorer / File Options. Select View. Then untick the "Hide file extension for know type". Now you should see your file with the full extension. Simply remove the .zip at the end and you should be OK.

this is a stupid question but i dont know where window explorer is can someone help me?

lol.

ok, on your pc
1: go to my computer
2: go to c:\
3: go to tools then folder options (if u use xp) otherwise go to view and then folder options(these options are at the top of the window)
4: in folder options click on the view tab
5: find a box that has "hide file extensions for known file types"
6: uncheck this box
7: click on ok
8: now try renaming the .zip file to .jar
9: send it to your phone
10: thank sakaveli for his help 😉

Hmmm I think this is a case of language difference to the extreme, next time i'll post a picture I think. 😃
