...beginning P800 users
i just got my P800 and i would like to give you an advice:
Buy these two things before buying a P800 (or at least at the same day you buy the P800!)
A CASE / COVER:
i came across the following sellers of cases, sure there are more but this should give you a start...
[list]
[*]covertec.com
[*]p800er.com krussel case
[*]pielframa.com[*]p800er.com siliconp800
[*]vajacases.ridiculous expensive.com
[/list:u]
A SCREEN PROTECTOR
After reading this forum thoroughly (I hope) and other forums, these 2 came highly recommended:

[*]Brando Screen Protector:
- a topic about it:
- another topic about it:
[*]Martin Fields Overlay Plus Screen:

I even read in another forum that you can use the R380 case or the nokia N7650, I am not saying this is the ideal solution but a little better than none!
This is the forum where i read it. It's a Dutch forum so if you can understand Dutch you can read about it here...
Don not be a cheap [@#$%@] go for protection.....euhhh 😮ops: ....you know what i mean...
It's not fun having a nervous breakdown on your birthday when you're half drunk after pulling out your device 😮ops: => P800! to check for any calls / mms / sms ... just too see a coin stuck between the keypad and screen along with a little (thank the p800 gods) bacardi on it... do not ask...
My device is safe and sound and i refuse to whip it out until I have at least good protection... yes pun intended... Id rather see missed callsthan a missed P800
Still Im glad i can laugh about... (i mean my birthday...)
Excuse me for my bad English but there are still alcohol remnants in me from my birthday last Sunday
A suggestion to the mods... copy the upper part of this post and make a sticky of it or paste it into an existing sticky?...it's just a suggestion
or use the case provided in the box at no expense lost

That is true!
But the reason that I did not want to use the one provided with the device is that it is totally closed. So you have to take it out of the cover before you can check for calls... or if you want to charge it.
But still the best choice would be to use the cover provided with the device until a proper cover / case is available to you...
the one which i have seen which has three sides, and even has holders for the mem duo's, that's probably one that i'd want but it's rather expensive considering it's just a case after all with a little more accessability than others, but it's not one that i'd require. for me, a simple case will suffice, but it is true that for the high end users, they would require quick access to it (although any clipped to the belt will have fast enough access)
you mean this one!

I'ts quite classy! and looks really good
if it had a transparent part in it so i could look at my screen quickly than I would definitely go for this one (but then it would loose it's classy look and feel to it I guess...)
it cannot still protect the camera lens

But there ain't no Kudos with that case - and the velcro chaffs a little 😃

it's free, what do you expect, any cheaper and we'd be putting the stitches in ourselves :bday:
I drop it more taking it out of the supplied case than not using any, it slips out very easily, a bit like soap! Ive had it fly out of my hands a few times, but have quick enough reflexes to catch it! 😃
