man i just bought a nokia 7650 off ebay and i live in california what do i do is there a way around it??? i just found out that it is not tri-band???But i heard there was a way to modify it to tri-band is this true if so how do i go about doing this? thanks -joey

No, I'm afraid it is not possible to modify a 7650 to work in the U.S. GSM networks. Start travelling or move to another country, see the world & the phone will work almost anywhere else on earth. Other than that, you can always sell it.
dependin on how much it cost you. u cud just use the handset for its features, like camcorder, camera, frodo etc. all ud hav to do is install system tools (i think thats the right app) and use flight mode. u wont hav to use a sim and ud get a little bit more memory free on the fone. SAbz
