Is there a way to put a full screen wallpaper in the 7650? i.e. 176x208 as opposed to the standard 172x134 (or is that 174x132) ??

Not before Series 60 v2.0, or without applications like sLauncher, ActiveToday, or such.
I'd rather not use 3rd party apps for something as trivial as a wallpaper. Is there any way to get the S60 v2.0 on my 7650?

Yes you can,but like N/A said,you'll need some third party software or maybe it will be a embeded feature in Series 60 2.0.
