Has anyone tried to use the 9210i as a faxmodem with XP (over Ir)? I've tried to use nokia drivers, and they don't work. I really need to send faxes from my PC, and I don't have a phone line near...

To use the Fax over GSM network you need to have this service granted by your operator.
If you have the fax number for 9210, separate from your GSM number, but on the same SIM card, you can send the file over IR from XP system to 9210 and send it from 9210.
If you don`t have the Data servi activated for 9210, forget it.
It won`t work 😞
Thanks for your reply, but the problem isn't about the GSM (btw, I have 3 numbers: one for voice, one for data and one for fax...).
The problem is that XP doesn't recognize the 9210 as a modem...
It is possible with xp as i have managed to do it many moons ago when my friend upgraded to (wince) XP...I am afraid i followed no plan or guide when doing it though just a lot of fiddling with the different drivers provided on disk and playing with settings on XP...i believe it took something like an hour but then i wasnt that familiar with XP at the time (am still not 😃 )
Just keep trying the different drivers and you may strike it lucky...my apologies for not being any more help :-?
There is some drivers on the CD provided with your comunicator to use it as a modem, but I agree I have tried to get my 9210 to connect to XP to use it as a modem and it never works. I have used both a M-bus cable and a F-bus cable but I still never got it to work :-? :-?
