Ask O2 (their customer support should know) for their GPRS "Internet Access Point" settings (they probably can send you them as a configuration message so you don't need to type it in by hand), and configure that access point as the default access point (for Opera).
You can first check if they're up on O2's web site, too.
Make also sure that your subscription includes GPRS access.
Though, if you're out of luck, O2 might not support full internet access for GPRS at all, in which case you have to do dial-up or switch to another operator.
Alternatively, set up a dial-up access point as instructed by your ISP (Internet Service Provider), or corporate IT department, if you have a modem pool for dial-in purposes.
Hi,
Thanks for that quick reply.
I do already have GPRS set up on my phone, and using the standard browser that comes with my 3650 I can access all websites out there. The only problem is, obviously, all the sites are messed up as they don't resize in the 3650 window. This is why I want to use Opera.
As I already have full GPRS access, I cannot understand why the same settings will not work for the Opera browser.
I have already tried using the same GPRS settings for Opera and it will not connect to any sites. It just puases for ages and then says with nothing in the progress bar at the bottom, then closes the connection.
I think I need to use different access point names etc. I looked at their website and used the access point name described, and it still wont work.
Any more ideas? Please let me know.
If there is anyone out there who has 3650 in the uk, who uses Operea on O2 network, please teel me your settings.
p.s. do I need a gateway access address?
