Silent Mode

I just noticed something rather strange.

Although my phone is set to silent mode (in the office), if someone calls and they have a voice-tag associated with their contact entry, the phone still plays their voice-tag when they call before ringing "silently".

Is this a bug (if so, could have been fixed by now, I'm still on R1D) or is it supposed to work that way? Obviously, I could turn off the feature, but it's fantastically useful when using the Bluetooth Headset in the car and I wouldn't want to be turning it off and on all the time.

Think its bug in r1d im on r2d and it does keep quiet when i get a call from someone with a voicetag and its on silent just tested it

Cheers Yoeppie. Looks like I might finally have to bite the bullet and get the firmware updated. Which reminds me, does anyone know of a place in Glasgow where I can get a firmware upate done? (Carphone warehouse maybe?) I'm going there for a few days soon and it would save me having to send it away for two weeks. I'm not sure I could cope with using my old T68 for that long now!

Bassey,

Try Atlas on 0141 554 4004.

Post to let me know how you get on as it's a 2 hour drive to my nearest service centre and I wouldn't want to drive all the way there and waste my time ...
