Hi,
Anyone have any experience with different types of quality forexample with latest pv author ?
I have tested the setup:
Bitrate: 128.000
ACC 32,00 kbps 22,095 kHz Sterio sound
192x144 video size
around 12 in the frame rate field.
It seems if you use higher bitrate than 128.000 the quality gets better but you get a much larger file?
Some people talk about only 75 megs for a full length movie ?
That gota be bad quality?
Who needs the default awfully optimized packetvideo player of P800 when you can use the beta camcoder player that is capable of playing 320X240 video mp4 files in excellent quality and with decent fps in full screen mode???
Maybe SE should get rid of PV's awful software from P800's firmware and finally install a decent player that is up to P800's power!!!
Even vids encoded in 192x144 you can watch in full screen in the camcorder app but with no or bad sound so far.
Anyone have experience with encoding movies ?
I agree about the camcoder software, it is much better. But mine only plays files from the internal disk, so no movies!
Perhaps the Camcorder app plays movies so much smoother because there is no sound... I think sound takes up quite a lot processor-power, so without it the movies will run more smoothly
where can I find the camcorder app ?...does it play full screen videos ?
thanks.
I have had sound working on it on mine, i think it only works with 3gp and not mp4 tho, yeah just tested it, sound with 3gp 😃
The Camcorder app,or the communicorder can only play(for now) AMR encoded files, not AAC,that is the problem with no sound in some files.
So anyone else encoded files?
Can you share your experience with quality, size, smoothness?

Not that you can find the app itself here anymore (the links were kindly removed by the moderators).
It does play full-screen videos! But they have to be on internal disk and are without sound...
Delta737,like i said couple of posts up,if you encode the video using AMR,not AAC or any other codec, you can play it in full screen WITH sound.
yep, and it s very nice too! when the proper version is out hopefully you will be able to watch off the duo too, then movies would be geat!

😮ops: Sorry 😮ops:
Anyway, is the playback still that smooth with sound? Or perhaps the playback is that smooth BECAUSE it's on the internal memory (pure speculation though...)!?
Let's hope the app will be officialy released soon, so that it supports Duo and all sound-codecs... And hope that playback will still be that smooth then... 😃
