PLEASE HELP Can't Connect P800 to PC??

You need to turn on your P800's BT to be discover mode.
Enble all the BT port from your PC

On your PC, goto your BT Configuration and pared your phone to your PC.

Next, try connect the two device. There should be a prompt on your P800. Allow the connection, the icon on the task tray should be blinking and then a P800 icon will be displayed.

Does the small phone icon appear in the system taskbar? If it does, you dont need to bother with the phone monitor in the control panel. I never did touch that (phone monitor) program.

What connection type are you using, BT, or cable, or infra-red?

I'm using the cradle so its USB and no phone icon comes up, the mRouther icon says its connected but the p800 suite thing says its not connected, as well got it set to PC Connet, not sure if the settings on that is correct but i think it is......

just a thought but you say you have the usb tick box ticked do you get the p800 icon in the sys tray if you do are you using outlook xp/2002. I have xp on win 2k and I have problems syncing unless outlook is running

i had the same problem when i first installed... It worked after I re-installed, but follow the instructions they provide, which i remember was not straightforward.

Sorry for not being very specific, but it was a while ago since I installed it. I had PC Suite running on both W2K and XP Pro.

well tried almost everything

I made sure my p800 was set to pc connect, installed latest pc suite software, the USB driver says dcu-11 or something, so that means everything is installed but still not registering, i might have to install win98se just so this thing works...... sigh

Before doing anything so drastic, I usually find that unticking the USB box, leaving it a few seconds and then ticking it again (with the phone still plugged into the cradle) does the trick.

It's just a case of finding some way to trick the Phone Monitor software to have a look and see if anything is attached to the other end of the USB cable. It seems strangely reluctant to do so of it's own accord.

Tried the ticking and unticking thing already, still didn't work, the phone monitor thing just doesn't seem to read my phone at all.......

could someone please list their PC Connect settings, such baud rate, parity and so on, thanks...... or if anyone other advice, that would be great too, thanks
