Tester Wanted!!! ETI Camcorder Update.

Cool.
Videos look sharper on my PC, specially in the lower quality setting where it is now quite viewable!

Have you added sharpening to the video or is it my imagination?

No crashes so far either! 😉
The 3 size selection on playback has gone - why is this? Not that I ever used it I always played back at full screen.

Knocks the spots of the built in cam - if only i could send it as .3gp or .avi from the phone it would be the ultimate... 😉

There are some improvments added to the underlying codec, so I'd say it's not your imagination... As for the 3-size thing... well... as you said, I never use it either and I don't think anyone is using it. It merely confuses people... besides, in the next version I plan to add the ability to do real full-screen playback anyway. BTW, Have you noticed it's now WYSIWYG? 😃 I hope this also fixes the "high-quality recording no sound" bug... can anyone verify?

i have tryed it it works fine to me better video quality but i still can't play them on my pc, is that the next point you are working one? i think you better work on that. btw i have had no craches so far works fine

well it worked fine the other day today i tried and crashed every time i tried to record it. "user 44 and 45 error" or whtever tht means. now i installed it again and im gonna test it out. but the quality is just sexy man keep it up.

worked fine when i shot some footage of a lake. but began to crash when i panned from side to side rapidly with complex backgrounds, also crased more with low light condition when panning form side to side.
Note these errors only occured in high quality mode(maybe bit rate is to high)
picture quality is great keep up the good work

Ok, i dont know if anyone else has this problem. But i can take a video fine. But when i go into the Movie folder app part of it and try to click on the folder where my video's are. the program crashes, therefore i cant view the videos on my phone.

yep, it worked fine when i installed it, but then the other night i tried it and had a bunch of errors that came up, and i couldn't record anything, all the videos came up 'damaged', but then earlier today it worked, but still no sound when i record to the memory card, everything fine with phone memory though..

When you PAUSE and CANCEL a recording, the PAUSE status is still there. When you continue to REC, the softkey did not change to Done and Cancel. Instead, it remained as Option and Exit. A while later, I get a "App. closed MediaServer". The video is saved even though I did not click Done.

I also encounter a few "Damaged" videos in My Videos.

He dfdzgz, is it ok if i get half my money back because it seems like i can't run any future updates of the ETI Camcorder Pro, so i'm stuck with this old version. Also this latest update crashes when recording at high quality! :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

What happened?! What do you mean you can't run any future updates? Of course you can get your money back in FULL but do let me know if there is anything that I can help.

The new update seems to be working for me about the same; I still get the occasional program crash which leads to a corrupt file, but more importantly I've had much more success converting the eye/ear files to avi's on my pc.

The real question is when do we get native 3gp/mp4 support! I'm predominantly a mac user and I hate having to boot up the pc to convert the files, and then if I want to view them on the mac I have to process them again using quicktime pro or cleaner. Not an ideal solution.

Anyway, keep up the good work and I look forward to future updates!

i don't know if this is related with the crashes at high resolution but if if want to film something i start my phone in flight mode than i have more ram and it will not crash anymore

What do i enter as registration code on the phone? I downloaded the file from the first thread, so i assume that it is free?!

H� die lars, how the f*** do i start my 3650 in flight mode?!

if you have system tools you can restart your phone in flight mode but you have to take your simcard out if you start in flightmode you can also restart your phone that will help to

dfdzgz, when can be expect an updated release after your beta? I noticed the beta crash on my 3650 quite a bit. Always get this media server error.

HI,

I spent a considerable amount recording files yesterday, using MMC & it worked fine. Installation was easy.
Clarity of video screen very good as was the sound.
Defaulting the pointer pad to record also good idea
Pause/Done/Exit commands worked well as did retrieving the video files from directory.

Good software well done.

Optional extra maybe a zoom option.

Dear dfdzgz, my last hope has vanished! As you know i have problems with later versions of ETI Pro which can't record on high quality.
Now i totaly resetted my 3650 phone! You know, i formatted my memory card and did a *#7370# which completly formatted my phone and set the phone back to the original phone settings.
I hoped that those later versions of the ETI Camcorder Pro would work now after this master reset but unfortanately not! :cry:
This was the last thing i could think of! So it's not my phone's fault! It's your program! Do something about it pleeez!!!!
