Internet via gprs

Before i start i'll apologise in advance as the information i'm after is probably on here somewhere - i've searched but i can't find it though so here goes - i want to install a web browser mon my 3650, i have gprs set up opn my network provider account but need settings to allow me to make an internet via gprs connection. I'm on t-mobile uk (i work for them in tech support and have gone through all their tech. literature - they don't support the feature) Please please can anyone help me out, i'm tearing my hair out on this one!!!

Let's just hope nobody else needs to contact T-mobile tech support if you guys can't even fix your own problems!! LOL! 😉

You probably have a GPRS WAP account. For GPRS internet, you can probably use different settings except for the username and password.Usually on GPRS WAP you will have wap as a username and wap as a password. On GPRS WEB/INTERNET you will have something like internet for a username and tmobile for a password. Some operators even have a different gateway for an GPRS INTERNET account.I'm only guessing here and obviusly the settings you need have to be aquired from your operator or from anyone else on the same operator who has an GPRS INTERNET account.

Pop to Smiths and look in Wh@ Mobile. They publish all the settings for all UK networks. That's where I got my o2 settings from.

that's my point, t-mobile don't support it - i've been on other sites and looked in what mobile, i can get wap gprs settings no problems but can only get internet via gprs settings for o2, vodafone and orange!! Thanks for your help ghostdog, i'll have a play about with my settings, see what i can sort out 😃

Hello there...

Try the following settings:

Change...

APN to "minternet"
IP Address to "193.113.200.195"
Username: [blank]
Password: [blank]

Leave the other settings as is.
Hello!

I have seen a post here that was written by someone not living in Norway, about BT internet.. I tried those settings and they worked PERFECTLY for me(here in Norway), so my guess is that it is international..

Here it goes..:
-Make a new access point
-Connection name: <your choice>
-Data carrier: GPRS
-Access point name: bt
-Username: none
-Confirm password: no
-Password: none <leave those default stars - ****>
-Confirmation: Safe/Secure
-IP adress gateway: 0.0.0.0

Names of the fields are translated from norwegian as good as i could
concidering that it's 12 o clock(daytime) and I just stopped partying.. 😃
Use logic sence to figure out what it means,if I have missed a correct english term for something.. 😉

Good luck!

Ummm....that looks just like a bluetooth dummy connection.
J2K: there.. happy now...? Sorry for misreading that!
I was only saying it was a dummy connection that you posted. No need to delete your post! 😉
