I was posting some news lately and when i was checking how it would look on AAS's hompage i noticed that many of us practice different news posting styles.I'm talking about the prefix in the news title like:[NEW],[New],New: etc etc 😊
My suggestion is that we agree on one style and stick with it.Maybe i'm a nutcase but those different versions of "NEW" hurt my eyes 😃
I defintley agree (although i only posted news once :P) But it'll really be easy for front page glancers to figure out what's "new" and what's been updated and stuff. Perhaps between [brackets] is simple and effective. IMO.
After some though I've decided I don't like the [New] in whatever format beside the headings. I think people will assume that something is new anyway. However an [Update] for genuine updates sounds good to me.
I agree with Andy - I've never put [new] in the title of a post, because they're listed in order on the front page, so if it's at the top, it's new. marking updated articles is a good idea (not that I've ever updated one...)
I agree with Ghost that we should pick a style and stick with it. In my first news post I took a look at Rafe's style and started with "New:", but the post was later edited by someone else (Ewan I think) to "[New]", so I just kept that style... 😊
