Videoplayer Application

Hi everybody

Exists a videoplayer app for the p800 which can show videos in a full-screen rotated mode? It would be best for viewing 16:9 oder Cinemascope Movies. I know, some games of the p800 can do that (i saw screenshots of Men in Black II). I contacted SE a Time ago and they answered, the integrated Videoplayer couldnt do that kind of features, and they arent planning to develope such apps.

If not, maybe an experienced Symbian Developer could develope such an app, with more codec support... like mobile media player for pocket pc windows.

Whats your opinion?

Greetings from Austria

The SW Version R2F of your phone already allows you to watch fullscreen video. You may need to update your P800.

i think a more useful video player would be good for the p800.

only being able to play mp4 files isn't great.

am i correct in saying that the built-in full-screen player in the updated firmware just stretches existing video files and tends to play them back jerkily ?

r2d onwards

The built in player is a bit jerky, there is a(somewhere) camcorder app that plays full screen superbly, just have to wait for the official release i guess! 😃 😃 😃
