Message stucked in Outbox =(

I got a message stucked in my outbox... It can't be deleted.. it has no status..
This happened because I accidentally turned off my phone while it was sending a message..
And now the sending icon keep appearing...
can anyone help me ?
How to remove the message in the outbox?

If you hit the left "Options" key in Outbox, what are the options listed?

You could also try to locate the problematic message file in C:\system\mail (or rather its subdirectories) with a file manager, and deleting it with the file manager.

Go2msg's. .Go2outbox. .In there there shud b a txt that says defered unda it or it wil say resend wi a time @ da side press ur options n delete the msg that'l gt rid of the little fucker! [email protected]

I also had that problem. I believe it happens when you send an sms but then change your SIM card while it is still in the outbox.

None of the solutions above work unfortunately. Never mess up with the system files manually your phone may freeze.

The only solution that worked perfectly for me was to restore files from an earlier backup that I had made with PC Suite. This silly sign stayed on my phone for 4 months before I found this solution and it is completely gone now.

Drop a message in this thread for more help.

I don't have any backup file in my PC, I don't have the data cable anyway...
Does this sign bother the system of the mobile ?
I guess it is ok with me if this sign doesn't cause any error to my mobile..
So far I still receive sms and accept calls normally...

I have the same status icon on my hp too.... for the past 10 months. 😊

Dun worry, it doesn't cause any problems whatsoever, just an irritating icon. I intend to do a software upgrade soon, and that is a solution u can consider too if ur hp is under warranty.

You can always clear everything with #*7370#, but that might be overly drastic (as you loose all data & settings in the process).

So, I'd try finding the problem/corrupt message file with a file manager first and see if deleting it that way helps.

Just as prozac said, it is a completely peaceful sign 😊 but it bothered me there for some reason 😞

Most likely as if you reflash/upgrade the phone, everything that used to be in the phone memory will be gone (contacts, messages, settings, installed applications, images, sounds,... everything).
yeah it starts to irritate me now
I haven't upgrade my phone, will it disappear if I upgrade it ?
yeah, it will disappear after u do an upgrade of firmware. But as N/A had said, everything else will be gone so do a back up on your pc first if u can. After upgrading, then do a restore, most of the info should be back. But not the java applications, and downloaded ringing tones.
I don't have PC suite... hm... I will think about it..
Thanks everybody.. this thread may be locked..
No problem.... btw, what do u mean the thread will be locked?

@ prozac, if you want to back up ringtones and java apps, look for "backupexclusionlist" in the nokia folder of pcsuite. You can edit that file by simply removing the lines which refer to java apps etc

msg stucked in outbox... wel if cant delete it just move the message to draft, then options, delete... walla! 😊

Hi, i have a nokia 6200 and Pc Suite 6.2.18 installed on my pc. It worked fine but using the Phone Editor to send messages thru my pc suddenly i got a message stucked on my Outbox.

It says "Outbox (1)" but there are no messages in this folder... I try to send another message then the only thing i have is "Outbox (2)" and due there are some previous phantom message the last one is not sent.

I've re-installed the program one two, three... lot of times, and always get the same message in the outbox folder... 😞

How can i delete this mark, remember there is no message, and i don't know why it says i have a queue message. I need to delete this mark in order to send other message, please i need some support.

Thanks in advance.

Larry.

Well.. it sounds like the proper solution but the problem is the label says "Outbox(1)" but there are "no meesages" in this folder to move....

I don't know why this is happening, and the hard problem is other messages remain stucked in this folder because the invisible message is still in this folder. Also, when i connect my phone to the computer the first message i got is "Message couldn't be sent". I think the problem is this mark in the outbox folder, there are no messages... so if i can delete this mark "Outbox(1)" i thnik i will work fine.

Do you know how can i delete the content of the message folders? Any entry in the registry?

I will appreciate your help.
