I may be missing something obvious here, but it would seem that XTM is now available for free from this page on Handango.... Update: Untrue unfortunately - see comments for full details.
XTM is a DOS emulator for the 9200 series. With this, you can run various DOS applications, even some games (though don't expect to be running QuakeIII 😃 ). It's a bit of a pain to set up, but is a real achiever in the versatility game.
This, as we say in Wales, is Tidy!
Free? 😊)) Damn gonna check it out again. I didn't found much games that did run on it :s
Well I did an automatic grab on it anyway. I have this on my netBook, running Dos 6.22 quite happily. Dazler, the catch is you need the original install disks of an OS - XTM creates the physical emulaiton of an XT, ie with an empty hard drive.
Get teh disks, set aside about 90 minutes, and you should have it.
And if you need disks, you might just have to ask.
Here a good page which gives you a list of programs which are compatiable with the emulator.

If this is free its a very cool tool.

tha's cool... now we can run the old dos apps...
but isn't it a little bit tedious to make the dos image and prepare for xtm to run on the 9210??
i've read on some forum before, and i remember it's quite a procedure...
is my observation correct?
i apologize for the 3 successive posts. my connection to the internet got lost 2 times because of scratchy phone connection, i pressed 'submit' again not knowing it was already posted... 😞

No problem - that's what moderators are for 😊
If you follow the links in my posts above (especially the last 2) you'll see setting up is quite easy.
You may find http://www.bootdisk.com to be of use.
I don't know what Handango are up to in advertising this software as free, but when I booted it, it stated that it was the Evaluation version.
Any ideas?
Ah well it was good while it lasted.. Try contacting NB info and see if they know anything.

that's where I get my boot disks.
It's it just me or are more and more apps starting to be free? Don't know If I should be scared or happy about this 😉
Owz didn't see the TankerX posts :s
My previous post is totaly useless 😉
😞 Just heard from NB and they say it's an error with Handango.
Never mind eh?
So golden rule, you see something that looks to good to be true, download it somewhere, then question it! Mind you, having had XTM on the netBook for some time, I've no probs in registering this anyway.
