The few registrations you'd get from curious people seems to carry just way too much of a risk of upsetting people who've paid good money and it's something they're not quite enjoying.
Mind you, I can't recall seeing this before anywhere in PDA Software, do I take it it gets good results?

But here's a trick that works in some e-stores. Put the "Special Offer" in yor basket before it closes. Do NOT Check Out. Now, unless they've got really good software, whenever you go back, that item will still be there, but at the offer price!
