😮ops:
Hi,
This is a little below the technical level of some of the WAP/GPRS conection access point queries I've been reading,
but does anyone know how to display the contacts in aything other than the "Spears, Britney " format
(that example taken right from my very own address book - honest)
Cheers for your help guys
What phone are you using, I can't find the menus you mention - or I could be being thick. 😃
😮ops: Sorry I thought I was in the 9210 group.
I realised and deleted the message but not before you read it!
Hope someone else has the answer.
(9210) Select Settings from menu in Contacts (Shortcut = Ctrl + K) Then Change "Name Display" setting. Simple as that.
No that was my mistake 'flyshearer' wants to do this on a 7650.
Try NameSwap, a free utility >> http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~ashley/

Thomas
Is this NameSwap software reliable?
Those who tried it, any error, crashes, or something ugly happened on the phone?
Just want to check because the Task Manager software I downloaded made my phone to behave erratically (during chargin when phone is off, it will be shown; hang; crashes, etc.). Emailed Task Manager developer, no reply.
This was for commercial software. I am afraid what will happen with FREEWARE
It works pretty well on the N7650.
But it changes also the view of the contacts in my Outlook 2002 and also my PPC2002, after synchronising N7650<->Outlook and Outlook<->PPC2002, like a chain effect. You may then want to change the views in Outlook and PPC2002 to suit you.
In the end, I executed the program once again (to reverse the data in First/Last names), sync with Outlook & PPC2002 and everything went back normal. Just to live with and getting use to the N7650 way of looking at contacts for the time being.
But indeed a small nice little program to say the least. Thank you.
