had my p800 for a couple of months now and im starting to worry about life without it.....I have developed a database for my company in access which about 4 people use either directly or via terminal services for remote users. I would like to extend this so that my p800 can be used to enter data then syncronised at the end of each day. My question to you lot is what the hell do i write it in, as this app is for me only i cant afford .net etc but all i know is vb and appforge looks expensive, and i have read in here of stability or battery life problems.....any guidance would be nice
thanks
I know the perfect language....if only you had a S60/S80 device....OPL
You can try porting it from 9210/7650 to P800 if you like....contact [email protected] if you fancy having a go or check out http://opl-dev.sourceforge.net/
James,
Not sure exactly what you're looking for here, but Epocware has a database application called Handy Databank.
this is the first time apart from playing with linux i have strayed from the wonderful and stable etc etc windows. I need an app on my phone which ideally links to data on my servers so i can do quotes for customers check service call status etc etc. I have thought about doing it via a web page then i can use it on any device and all the serious work will be done by the server....but what do i do when there is no coverage, or im in a hospital etc etc. I am hoping to delelop something that will run the app on the phone in a pretty way like forms in access, then email data to myself to be put into the main database. and i still have no idea where to start lol -?
