UK mains charger is a PAIN.....

.....the bit where the lead to the phone comes out extends too far. Do you think it would be ok if I reduced its physical proportions. I was thinking of a sledgehammer. Anyone?

Alternatively anyone got an old car charger sitting around spare?

xx

The 'out of the box' charger is pretty horrible; clearly it's designer has never seen a British 'four-block'!

The 'travel' version is a bit smaller and neater, except that it still has a 3-pin British plug built-in.

The charger for my old T28s actually works, and that was very small and neat and also had interchangeable plugs, so when I go abroad I leave the big 3-pin at home and just take either then US or Euro adapter of my choice.

I have car charger for the P800[/quote]

Awww, how kind. Thanks. Will you pay the postage too?

instead of leaving it at night to charge or something if you don't like your adapter, get the hand winding charger, leave some time just before you go to sleep and try getting some cycling gloves or something so you don't get dry skin, then start winding

yeah, you can get the travel from most places now as they dont' sell the out of the box one, but the travel one instead which is slightly different shaped

In a word, no....if you do actually want it PM and we can sort something out 😉

Take a look at this thread and do away with the need for a charger http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=37284&forum=35 I modified my cradle at the weekend and it works perfectly.
